FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard fees are 50.00 per hour at my studio, or 60.00 per hour in the comfort of your home within 5 miles of my home.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My thought is that everyone is different and is expecting different results...so at first I try to find out from you what your goals would be, and at that point plan a strategy that encompasses you to achieve your goal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started lessons at the age of 6....my dad was my sole inspiration to get into music at a young age. He graduated Boston University and in 1951 started up a retail and music education business that started as primarily an accordion and band instrument store to what became as one of the largest family owned Music businesses in the country. (I had the pleasure of owning it for 12 years... unfortunately Ihave had health issues that permitted me from carrying it on, my sister is at the helm now.) He was also an amazing concert pianist. when I was 6 years old...he was brave enough to take me on as an accordion student...then moved me to organ... and finally piano at 12.... I had my first band together at the age of 10 and have made music as my living ever since.... I had many other amazing teachers through the years, I attended the University of Maine in Augusta..... an was fortunate enough to study under so many great musicians as Chuck Winfield from Blood, Sweat and Tears.... Amazing composer and arranger Tom Hoffman, Nashville studio recording artist, guitarist Al Korponin....Alex Johns from Maine along with Roy Frazer both of whom played on the road back in the 30s through the 60s with all the old Big Bands such as Artie Shaw, Stan Kenton, Maynard Furgerson and many more....
