FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm still figuring this website out but for ESL I worked on a sliding scale. With Editing it was always negotiable but generally around twenty to thirty dollars an hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Through conversation I like to get to know a little bit about their goals and what they would like to ultimately get out of the session. From there I'll put together a personalized lesson plan that caters to their ability and interests. We go at whatever pace the customer feels comfortable with. Learning should be organic and fun!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated at the College of Charleston with and English and Creative Writing Degree in 2007. I spent time editing and revising stories and papers for others who wanted to self-publish. I also wrote and had a story published in Miscellany with an award for Best Fiction. I moved to Prague in 2009 where I became TEFL certified. I spent a lot of time there teaching lessons one on one to clients of all ages and proficiencies.
