Introduction: Sakinah & Co. is a boutique style event planning company. Our main goal is to bring the vision of your event to life. We think outside the box and are constantly displaying new ideas so you can have an experience you'll never forget. Planning and Pampering is our specialty. We initiate community support by working with local businesses and referring their great services to our clients. Hearing the excitement in our client's voice and seeing their reactions to the final design of their event is what it's all about. Planning any type of event can be confusing, stressful and a bit overwhelming. It is our pleasure to remove that mound of anxiety during the process.

ShaeVon planned my baby shower and it was so much more than I could have imagined! She literally thought of everything. I asked her to make all the decisions and the only thing I requested was the color scheme (teal and silver). Well she thought of an awesome theme (Winter Wonderland) and carried it through every detail. She hand made the invitations, decorations, food, and favors and it was all perfect! The venue was gorgeous, the food included all my favorites, and she even had some other special surprises planned just for me! ShaeVon personalized every detail to reflect me and really made me feel special the entire day (even before the shower began!). I did not have to worry or think about a thing the entire time. Thank you so much ShaeVon for planning me such a memorable event!

Shaevon is amazing. You would be foolish not to hire her. She is professional, personable and she understands the need to stay on budget. Her creativity helped my vision come to life. I hired her to facilitate my 50th birthday celebration. I explained that I wanted a block party in the cul-de-sac in front of my home. I wanted to invite my neighbors, friends and family. The celebration would include the little ones during the day and then transition to an adults only evening. Shaevon handled every little detail and knew what questions to ask so that she covered all the bases. I was amazed with her computer skills, her contact list and how easily she flowed through each task. She research and communicated with the vendors, set up appointments, arranged for cake tasting, designed the invitations and managed the RSVP. She helped me develop the menu, layout chart for seating, tables, DJ, bouncy houses and game area. The evening ended with a fireworks display. And that's actually how I would summarize my experience with her. She lit up the sky. I would definitely recommend her services and she will always be my go to girl for future events.

All of my quotes surround the management and design time it would take to design a great event for my special clients.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'm all about making my clients happy and exceeding their expectations. I outlining their needs including budget; confirming we're a great fit because I may not be everyone's cup of tea; schedule an in-person or phone meeting to get more details about the pending event; design/plan the event and my clients ENJOY their big night.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was working for a mixed martial arts production company. I love being strategic and creative - event planning allows me to do both. The best part of being an event planner is seeing the looks on my clients face and hearing that they had an amazing time after the event is over.
