Introduction: I have experience teaching English to businessmen and women and non-professionals from all over the globe. I spent two decades as a writer for national publications, including The New York Times, Business Week, the Chicago Tribune, and, Congressional Quarterly. I helped foreign executives increase fluency and confidence in English through World Learning, Inc.  I worked here in the U.S. with executives from: - Perstorp, a leading Swedish chemical company, which was establishing sales and manufacturing of Pergo flooring products in the United States and South America. - Ernst & Young (consultant from Spain) - Esso (executive from Argentina) - CSX Corporation (a Venezuelan auditor)  I also taught: - Group English classes to a group of Philippine women at Medtronic Xomed Surgical Corp., through a community college in Jacksonville, Fla. - A summer intensive at West Virginia University where students with the Chinese government were in the region to study English while touring steel production and coal mining operations. I've worked with beginners and advanced students. I love language. I want others to gain a level of skill and confidence so that using English is a pleasure, not uncomfortable. I also do proofreading and editing. As a longtime professional writer, I like helping others work through their drafts to create more refined, effective written communications. I like to work side-by-side with clients (in person or online) so that the clients learn from the changes we make to their writing projects.
