FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If you need recording, I charge by the hour during the recording processthis gives everyone an incentive to be prepared. Once we enter post-production, we switch to day pricing or project pricing. It really depends on the scope, but I'm happy to work for cheap if the product is good. Here's a typical breakdown: Pre-Production and recording: $65/hr up to 10 hrs; $400/day when booked in advance Post-Production and mixing: $300/day; $500 per song if paid up front
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to understand the scope of their project. Sometimes we're a great fit, and sometimes we're not, but when we are, it's because we are able to share a vision for the final product.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from CCM with a degree in Electronic Media. I focused on audio post-production during my time in school. I have worked at Sound Images Studios for the past year as a recording engineer, as well as doing some freelance work here and there, usually with classical instrumentalists from CCM.
