Alex started doing work for me in 2013, when I purchased a new home. That summer he did many small jobs, inside and out. He has continued to do work for me. Most recently he renovated my rental condo. He installed bamboo flooring, where there had been carpet. He replaced the bathroom vanity, sink and wall cabinet. He painted the entire condo and replaced many of the blinds. He did all of this in a reasonable timeframe, so the unit was out of service for the minimum time. He has also done landscaping work for me, removing dead trees and replacing plantings. On top of this--he is a very nice, reliable guy.

I've used Alex for big and small jobs for nearly a year now. I recommend him to all my friends. He does good work, is very honest, will tell you if he feels that someone else is better for the job, reliable to be there when he says he will be there. He is constantly trying to keep the job expenses down while recognizing the value of perhaps paying a bit more initially for something that will last a lot longer. I sometimes hate to share such a good find as Alex but he is worth waiting for when he is available.

Alex had done many projects for my house over the last three years including plumbing, electrical, installing ceiling fans and window treatments, and painting work. I've also recommended him to several friends who have been happy with his work and used his services for several subsequent projects. He gives estimates and options to fit your budget and is trustworthy. I have been comfortable giving him a key to my house when he was working on a project and I could not be home to let him in.

Designed and built rear stoop with stairs. Also 20 ft fence along property line. All work was high quality and efficient. I would hire him again without the slightest reservation.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$35/hr with a 4 hour $150 minimum. I work with people on pricing but I do include travel time for most jobs more than a few miles from my location.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I travel to your home or place of business to see exactly what you will have me work on. We discuss the options and pricing and when we have an agreement, I get started or we set a date and time to meet our schedules.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Grew up working on projects around the house with my dad. Including items that I may have been responsible for breaking. What can I say, I was an active child.
