Introduction: Sarah Folsom is a professional vocalist and voice teacher in the Cincinnati area. A graduate of The University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music, Sarah has been teaching voice since 2009 and is experienced in working with students of varying ages and singing styles including classical, jazz, musical theatre, and popular music. Sarah strives to help each of her students build a solid vocal technique that is healthy, sustainable, and tailored to each individual’s unique instrument. Her teaching is focused on the diverse goals of her students, whether they seek to establish fundamental skills, increase ease and enjoyment of singing, or enhance and maintain their professional singing voice. Additionally, Sarah’s students benefit greatly from her knowledge of vocal health and wellness for singers. Sarah also brings her extensive experience as a performer in opera, musical theatre, and oratorio into her work as a teacher.
Nothing gives me more joy than helping someone discover their best and most authentic voice. I love seeing the look on my students' faces when they develop a new skill or find an easier, healthier way of singing in a particular style. From helping beginners explore their vocal potential to working intensively with advanced singers, I love having the opportunity to help all kinds of people use their voices confidently and joyfully.
