FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will shop around to make sure my customers receive the best value for their dollar. With that said, I am not a budget travel agent and typically handle moderate to high-end travel. Regardless of your budget, you can be assured I will be a wise steward of your budget and use all the resources available to make sure you receive the best bang for your buck. You can expect me to be honest and that includes making sure your budget fits your expectations for the trip.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Overall I want to understand exactly what my customers want and what their trigger points are for a trip so I want to set up an initial meeting either in person, phone, email or video conference to get an understanding of what you want. After I have that information then I'll send out a quote with several options and we can begin the process of figuring out what you want, want to modify or want to drop from the trip. It might take a few rounds of this, or we might get lucky on round one, but I'll continue to massage the trip to make sure my customers receive the best value and can rest easy knowing their expectations are met. I am flexible when it comes to my process and can work to accommodate anyone's schedule.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taken a host of travel bureau training, business training and other travel specific training. Way to much to list but a few of them are: Aussie Specialist, Kiwi Specialist, Aruba Specialist, Dominican Republic Specialist, Costa Rica Specialist and Hawaii Destination Specialist. There is a good amount of training available in the industry and I've picked up a ton of on-the-job training from my dad who has been in the industry for over 25yrs.
