Sue is wonderful! My kitchen has been set free! I have known Sue a long time and was familiar with some of her organizing methods, but I had clung to the clutter in my kitchen until it was becoming difficult to function there. The clutter was oppressive. It was time to do something. Sue dove in with me, and she gently helped me to weed out what was not needed and to get the right things in the right places. She worked with me for about a day and a half---this was an accumulation of many years' worth of stuff!---and she did it with such wisdom, understanding, patience, and kindness. As she helped me make decisions, I never felt judged or rushed. Cabinet by cabinet and counter by counter, Sue brought clarity and order. As we progressed, I began to sense my mind becoming less cluttered as well as my kitchen! Sue is positive, encouraging and inspiring. She's also just a lot of fun. Sue brought a fresh viewpoint and real solutions to organizational problems that had been entangling me for a long time. As I work in my kitchen now, I am amazed to find everything I need right at hand and accessible with no rummaging. I really do have "time to spare," and my kitchen looks much prettier and more inviting too. My only regret is that I didn't get Sue's help sooner! As I said, she is wonderful!

Sue helped me so much get order to my life and home. Being organized helps every area of my life & relationships and saves so much time. Having a place for everything and building the habit to put things in their place has improved the flow of my home and my time. Sue encouraged me to face the mess and put it all in order as well as giving me practical solutions too hard to figure out on my own with all the clutter. Having her perspective simplified what felt like a huge undertaking and has made my home not only more efficient but also relaxing and inviting. Of course keeping it the way it was when she left is the biggest challenge, but Sue is faithful to hang in there with me to review the very workable solutions until the new habits are established and become apart of normal living and flowing in my home. I called on Sue to help me transition from a 12 foot walk-in closet to a 4x4 closet. Although I myself am very organized, Sue enabled me to think objectively when I was "stuck" so that my wardrobe could fit into such a small space. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
To organize a home I charge $50/hour and it typically takes about 4-8 hours to completely organize a room (basements and garages are an exception). To organize an office, I charge $75/hour and it also takes about 4-8 hours to complete.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually speak with them extensively on the phone to assess their need and find out where they would like to start. This helps them to get to know me as I am getting to know them. This breaks the ice and helps them to not be intimidated with the process of me working with them to eliminate their clutter.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a professional organizer for 34 years (since 1982) and actually helped to found the industry as I was the third or fourth organizer in the country. I have worked in 46 states, Germany and England teaching organizational skills both in the home and in the business world.
