- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start by making sure I understand what the goal is for your desired look.. i.e. If you want blonde highlights- What shade? How much blonde? Are you going for a natural look? Medium slices with 3/4 shades for depth & separation? Balayage or Foilayage for less maintenance? I show photos of each option to ensure that you understand what you're choosing. I make sure you understand the process & upkeep, as well as the products & styling tricks to maintain your look at home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied hair, cutting, hair extensions, color theory, chemistry of color, esthetics, body waxing, eyelash extensions, nails, business, accounting, state laws/regulations, management, & human relations at Ohio State. Went on to work at Regis Polaris as a Master Stylist, & now, to leasing my own studio at Sola Salon Studios Polaris.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Many stylist specialize in one or 2 areas, I like to challenge myself with mastery of a new skill often. I do cuts for Men, women, & children, am a detail color expert, proficient in Balayage, Foilayage, drop root/shadow root techniques, fashion colors, pastels, sponge lights, hair painting, a wide variety of braiding, twists, extensions, & formal styles. I'm comfortable with all hair types & textures, as well as providing age appropriate, fashionable looks, that compliment the individual. I also offer body waxing, facial waxing, & eyelash extensions.
