Introduction: We are here to get you swimming at your maximum potential! Swimming classes and lessons are taught by John Thorburn, a seven-time NCAA Division 1 All American at SMU and world-record relay team member. John specializes in teaching adults of all skill levels, including those with fear of water. His patience, passion, and gentle teaching style has earned Dallas Swim a five-star rating, with over 800 lessons taught in 2015. We offer classes and private lessons ranging from fear of water to advanced stroke technique. Our most popular class is swimming for fitness, a small class held throughout the week for students looking to get in shape and improve their swimming abilities. It's also a lot of fun! Whether you are just starting out or you are ready to tackle a triathlon, we are here to unlock your potential. It's time to get after it! We're looking forward to seeing you in the water! John's lifelong relationship with swimming has culminated into a passion for working with adult non-swimmers and novice to advanced swimmers. John wants to share his conviction that feeling confident and comfortable in the water is available to everyone. Always supportive and gentle, John teaches his students to trust the natural, innate buoyancy that they were born with.
