FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard rate is $35 for 30 minute lessons, $50 for 45 minute lessons and $60 for 60 minute lessons. Extra fee for driving may apply if outside of my normal teaching area* I urge anyone looking into music lessons to make sure their teacher has a degree in music education. I've gotten a lot of students from other teachers that did not receive a well-balanced lesson from them because they didn't know a lot about theory, technique, etc. This will inevitably lead to a plateau and make progressing that much harder.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My goal when i first start working with a new student is find out their goals and interests. This will help me tailor a specific lesson plan for them and help keep them on track for what they want to accomplish.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's in Music Education. I started out in public school teaching drumline for four years. After that, i worked at a private music studio for 5 years, averaging about 60+ students a week. I started my studio (UPbeat Music Lessons) in 2017 and as of 2020, i now have a physical location.
