Based on the reviews of this company, I truly had high hopes I would experience the same quality work as previous customers. Needless to write, this was not my experience. The day of my move, I was notified by the supervising team member that the initial price quoted during the initial consultation/walk through had changed by $600. I didn't appreciate this at all and contacted the company's owner to let him now I was not pleased with this change. Several conversations took place between the owner, co-owner of the company, supervising team member, and me. During one conversation, I was accused by one of the owners of the company of "wanting work for free". I wish I had a way to upload/attach the recorded conversations to this review. Many of my items were broken during this move. The boxes clearly were marked "fragile" or "glass". Something to let them know know the items were breakable. Many of the broken items were part of a set and/or collection. Most are irreplaceable. Please refer to the attached photos. These are only a few photos of many. Many of the items marked to be moved were not, and I had to hire other persons to complete the move. This caused me great anxiety and unnecessary stress. Good afternoon mrs. Simmons,first off when my on sight guys came out two months ago you told them we were only moving the large furniture. Also you asked us to be there at 10:00 on tbe day of the move and we were there at 945 and then you didnt show up til 1100. Not a problem so i sent my same employee who done the onsight to do your move with a free third man to try and help your move go smoother and quicker. When he walked in you had over a 150 boxes added to your move which if we would have known about then we would have sent a second truck cause thats half a truck in itself. Then when my crew leader tried to explain that it would add several hours to your move ,you went ballistic on my men and even called me chewing me out. What we onsighted a few months before was not what we showed up to move. My guys dealt with your battering name calling and still tried to fit as much as they could in one truck. You said you wasnt paying over tbe estimate so i still only charged you tbe estimate trying to keep you happy ,even wardrobes you requested,i didnt charge you for. We move two bedroom homes everyday with one truck. You were degrading my guys constantly and that didnt help the attitudes of noone. Even my secretary called trying to help calm you down and you hung up on her. Quotes are void when theres alot more than what we see when we come out to onsight. I tried explaining to you that we cant work for free and all you kept saying was you was only paying tbe estimate so thats why we stopped after the first load. Me and my guys do this everyday and have been for many years. You wouldnt even sign the final reciept. I only refunded your money cause i felt bad that you wasnt understanding tbe way the moving process goes and i was tired of being harassesd and degraded and i figured you could get your move finished with that money. I was trying to be a nice guy even tbrough all the verbal abuse. I understood you were going tbrough a divorce and maybe with everthing going on in your life ,you just didnt understand our estimate policy. We have thousands of customers who have loved our service and im just sorry this experience turned out this way. We did not pack your boxes so im not even sure we even damaged any of your items. My guys move breakables everday that are packed correctly and we never have any complaints of broken items. We can only guarantee items that we pack or our customers let us know the boxes that are breakable and since you were doing nothing but degrading my workers,theres no way tbey could know. Again i hope refunding your money helps you finish your move and i wish you the best in all your endevors.
The movers were professional, friendly and took very good care of my belongings. They did not arrive until 2 and 1/2 hours after their scheduled time and this is the only reason I did not give them 5 stars. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Our fees are estimates at a fair and reasonable price. There are additional charges such as truck and travel fee, piano and safe fees. The base hourly rate is for 2 men and all the equipment they will bring such as dollies, padding, shrink wrap and tools to assist with disassembly and reassembly of items.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?With new customers, we love to make contact with them...get to know them and allow them to get to know us and what our company has to offer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I was a Training Manager with Two Men and a Truck for 10 years in Daphne and Pensacola. Alot of the trainees are now working for me. It is not uncommon to find me on the job site with the men helping and talking with the customers.
