FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually give discounts when students take more than 2 hours a week
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I asses their needs, and make a plan to help them achieve their individual goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for UN Women Colombia, where I translated documents from Spanish to English and English to Spanish to facilitate communications between different parties. I also worked as a bilingual support specialist at RAINN (an organization that focuses on stopping sexual assault) where I assisted survivors from all around the world in both English and Spanish. I currently work for the Colombian Human Rights Committee in Washington, DC, where I performed translations for human rights defenders visiting the US, interpreting on their behalf at the US Congress, the State Department, and at organizations such as Amnesty International. Furthermore, I have an MA from Georgetown University, and a BA from University of Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. I excelled at both universities, which assures my grammar and language skills.
