Introduction: After studying in a hospital in Harbin, China I realized that adding E-stim (electrical stimulation) to acupuncture really enhances the treatment and gives patients better results. E-stim is not just great for pain but for calming the nervous system, increasing circulation and decreasing inflammation. I also do a lot of Fire Cupping in my treatments which helps a lot with muscle tension/tightness, old injuries, tight IT bands as well, it is a good method of detoxing. I also use moxa and have a full herbal pharmacy. My Bachelors of Science is in Sports Medicine and I had the privilege of treating the athletes at CU while getting my Masters in Acupuncture. Treating pain including chronic and acute, old injuries, surgery, rehab and recovery seem to make up a majority of my practice. However, in my practice I have seen Acupuncture work wonders for those dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, infertility, insomnia and digestive disorders. I love helping people feel educated about their health so they feel like they can take charge of their own wellbeing. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine is amazing at getting to the root cause of any aliment. Whether it's digestive disturbances, chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety or fertility issues and women's health. Acupuncture treats the foundation and builds from there. Nutrition is also a big part of my practice. Tips I learned in my Masters program from a Chinese nutritional perspective have changed my life.

I have been receiving acupuncture treatments from Carrie Senderhauf for the past year. When I began, I was suffering from severe panic attacks. After a few treatments, the panic attacks have gone away and not returned. I've continued to seek treatment for anxiety, stress, and chronic pain management. All of these issues have improved significantly with the variety of services Carrie provides including acupuncture, Chinese herbs and fire cupping. Carrie is very thorough, modifying treatment based on current symptoms and supplementing her extensive training and education with additional research when necessary. My experience with Carrie has been amazing. My symptoms (which I have had for over a year) reduced by 75% after only one session with her, and continue to improve with each treatment. Carrie has an incredible depth of knowledge, and does an excellent job of teaching you exactly what is happening in the body to cause dysfunction. She is professional, friendly and warm. I started seeing Carrie a little under a year ago for fertility/multiple miscarriage problems as well as for anxiety and stress. As I write this, I'm currently 8 1/2 months pregnant and still going for treatment so it's been successful! She's great at listening and talking through things with you and offering ideas, and if she doesn't have an immediate answer or offer a particular service (i.e. Placenta encapsulation) she'll consult with her peers and let you know what she recommends. Beyond my experience and treatments with Carrie being successful, She is pure joy to visit with and just chat with about things, I trust her insight and highly recommend her.

Carrie gives such a great service. She is always very thorough with her consultation. Her room is so relaxing and inviting it's hard to leave. I had never gotten acupuncture before so it's really nice to be taken care of by Carrie.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The initial consultation and treatment last about 90mins, we will sit down and do a thorough intake of health history, chief complaint and future health goals. From there I will design a specific treatment protocol for each individual. I will email paperwork and consent forms as soon as the appointment is booked. All can be done/filled out online.
