FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, for an organizing job, potential clients will schedule a free, 30-minute consultation with me so that we can meet each other, they can show me their areas of challenge and we can discuss a broad plan of action. Sometimes a client just needs someone to do some unpacking for them and there's no need for a pre-meeting. In this case, I just show up, either by myself, or with a team member, and get started right away to get the client settled into their new home as quickly as possible. It really depends on the client and the situation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I take my organizing business very seriously -- constantly learning and improving my skill sets to be able to offer more to all my clients. I am a Professional Member of NAPO®, the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals™, a non-profit membership association which focuses on providing members with education, professional development and sharing ideas with fellow members. Becoming a Professional Member means I completed NAPO's Professional Practices Coursework. I am also on the Board of NAPO's Colorado Chapter and I continue studying, reading, and networking to learn more about the business and how I can help my clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Most organizers will tell you that they've been organizing their whole lives. Well...me too! A lifetime of experiences have led me to put it all together and start my own business doing what I do best -- working with others to make their lives feel better. For nearly 20 years I was the Director of Administration for two non-profits, which required extreme organization in order for them to run smoothly. Whether I was organizing volunteers, managing special events, or keeping on top of the many varied components involved with keeping the business side running smoothly, being organized was the number one reason for success.
