Introduction: Hi! I'm so glad you came to look at my profile! I believe that each student deserves instruction that is detailed to their needs and desires. I focus on what each student's music goals are in order to help them reach those goals. Whether the student wants to learn to read sheet music, improvisation, a particular genre of music, or even how to write songs themselves, I am dedicated to finding the best way to help the student achieve their goals and have fun doing so. Summer Lesson Costs (June 1-August 31): Virtual Lessons (via Zoom): $25/half hour + cost of materials In Studio Lessons (student comes to me): $30/half hour + materials In Home Lessons (I go to the student): $35/half hour + materials Fall/Winter/Spring Lesson Costs (September 1-May 31: Virtual Lessons: $109/month In Studio Lessons: $130/month In Home Lessons: $150/month I'd love for you to come learn music with me!

CJ is amazing with our 9 year old daughter. Her teaching style helps her understand how and why to play the notes as written. She jumps right into using the black keys , so it's not some scary realm later. Can is personable, she is funny, she clearly enjoys kids and teaching. Highly recommend CJ as a piano teacher for any level really.

CJ is absolutely fantastic! My son has been seeing her for just over a year and w wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else for piano lessons! She is super responsive and anytime we have needed to switch up our lessons due to scheduling conflicts, she has been flexible and friendly. My son loves learning from her and she gives him amazing amounts of confidence and inspiration.

CJ has been teaching my two children for several years now. She brings so much depth to her piano teaching, but a responsiveness to kids—they learn both the classics and the music that they choose, too. I cannot begin to express how much love of music she's imparted to them and how important I think the lessons have been to my kids. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
During our studio "year" (Sept 1 - May 31) my prices cover 38 lessons as well as the price of 1 year's cost of materials. All prices are per student. Virtual Lessons - $109/month In-Studio Lessons - $130/month In-Home Lessons - $179/month During Summer Session (June 1 - August 31) prices are calculated per lesson scheduled. Virtual Lessons - $25/lesson In-Studio Lessons - $35/lesson In-Home Lessons - $45/lesson

Once you've contacted me, we'll set up a time to meet in person to talk about what kind of lessons you're looking for and what I can offer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing piano for 30+ years. I've been teaching piano for 14+ years. I took lessons myself for 13 years. I am constantly researching effective teaching practices and revising the tools I use.
