Introduction: I provide exceptional personalized guitar lessons for students of all skill levels in the metro Detroit area. My background is primarily in Jazz music, but I teach all styles of guitar playing including rock, classical, Brazilian, and finger-style acoustic. I am a graduate University of Michigan's School of Music Theater and Dance, and hold a degree in Jazz Studies.
Working with people is the best part of my work. Playing music is a collaborative form of art making, and teaching is no exception. My role as an instructor is to listen to each student's relationship with their instrument, and offer my services to help them achieve and discover their goals as musicians and people.

Gabe is an excellent musician and teacher. I'm a professional musician with an advanced degree in music, and I still need to call on Gabe now and then for advanced tutoring or discussion on subjects from harmony to synthesis to arranging. He is my first call for a guitarist NO MATTER WHAT! Playing anything from rock to jazz to gospel, I can count on Gabe to do the most thorough and professional job. He's also been in the producer's chair for me on numerous occasions, coaching some of my best performances for the tape. I could go on about his achievements, qualifications, and successes, but perhaps Gabe's best qualities are his patience, honesty, and compassion. He's become not only a quintessential collaborator but a close friend, as well. I would recommend him as a teacher to students at all levels on various instruments.
