Introduction: Hello, I am an Usui Reiki Master Teacher. I offer traditional Reiki, and teach self-healing techniques for emotional release, balance and meditation. Being an Usui Reiki Master with Empathic and intuitive skills, you get combined into one session, what most people would have to go to two separate professionals to achieve. During my sessions it is common to receive spiritual/angelic guidance for all areas of life. Reiki is an energy movement to help an individual relax, release and experience a sense of calm and balance. Because it clears and balances many of the body's energy centers, healing can take place on the physical, emotional, psychological and/or spiritual levels. The number of sessions needed is different with each person, and is between God/Source energy and one's body, mind and Spirit. Intuitive abilities enhance the Reiki session by allowing me to tune into a deeper understanding of what is going on in your life and why you are feeling as you do. Helping to decipher images, words, feelings, and sounds, in a way that makes sense to you, helps you heal, obtain a deeper understanding, solve problems and make sense of some of the questions you may have about your life. I can connect with a person, place, or issue and receive information in a similar way to how we might dialogue in a conversation. I began to study holistic practices in 2000 while looking for ways to help my special needs son. I have been working with Reiki since 2003 and became a Master Teacher in 2006. Reiki is very spiritual.During my sessions I am in prayer. Everything that happens during a session is between you and God. I may see pictures and hear messages that are related to the reason for your visit. You are invited to ask questions during your session. In my experience Reiki is a healing game changer on many levels. If you are being drawn to try Reiki for a specific need in your life, follow your inner guidance. As you consider various Reiki practitioners, trust you will be drawn to the one who is right for you at this time. The way it changes people's lives, it is the most fulfilling career I have ever had, second only to motherhood.

I have been going to The Reiki Room and seeing Tamara for over a year now. I previously had done reiki and it helped me to sleep well. This experience is far above just good sleep! My previous experience was with a more junior practitioner. Tamara is a reiki master and has a great knowledge of the practice which makes her able to go even further in her work. She is patient and kind. She is very down-to-earth. She is willing to sit and talk through any issues and explain her reiki work. And yes, this is an alternative and holistic practice, but she is not an eccentric, hippie dippie person and neither is the atmosphere. There is no magic, evil or non-Christian activity. She is a Christian and very positive. The experience is very calming and soothing. And you will leave calm and balanced yet invigorated -- all at the same ! For those that do not know - reiki is a practice that balances our energies so that everything "flows" better. You have probably heard that everything is made up of energy and the idea that we all have chakras or energy centers. She helps to balance that energy flow through those energy centers so that they all work well together. When you are in balance, you will notice that you will not only sleep better but you will find a bit of extra energy. You will be happier and able to find joy easier. I highly recommend her and her work. You will not be disappointed. She is like a therapist and a healer -- all wrapped in one. And try the Reiki Tea! It is incredible and keeps the feeling going between sessions!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard sessions are $75 and run 60-75mins. There are discounts on multi-session packages, and a very affordable subscription package for those looking to receive Reiki on an on-going regular basis.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first visit we spend time talking about the clients needs. I explain Reiki, perform the session and we discuss follow-up options based on what occurs during the session. During a Reiki session the client remains fully clothed, removes shoes, and lies on a massage table for the duration of the session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Traditional Reiki Attunements and studies in various other energy based modalities such as Quantum Touch and Pranic Healing.
