Introduction: My teaching approach is student-centered rather than teacher-centered. I enjoy listening to the ideas that my student has in mind while also providing them with the tools to reach their goals. I also don't make promises that I may not be able to keep.
I enjoy seeing the smiling faces of each happy student that realizes how to make their musical ideas come to life. It's fun helping students discover and explore what they can do musically or, as I like to call it, discovering their inner musician.

I started taking piano with Michael two years ago and I can't believe how far along I have come. It's amazing what he knows and can show me. The thing I love most is that he's honest. He admits that he's still learning and growing, but he is still one of the best teachers I've learned from.

Michael is my voice instructor of three years. He helped me expand my range and got me on the right track. I can't believe how much he has grown as a teacher as well as how far I've grown as a student. I would give a five star rating but I felt this was the best rating to give since he is a student himself for the college degree. But he seriously knows his stuff and how to pour what he's learned and is learning into his students.
