Introduction: I am a Kundalini Research Institute 200-hr certified instructor (2014). I have a B.S. in Computer Science Technology and an MBA. After 15 years in telecom and aerospace, my passion for yoga and breath-work, along with my detail-oriented project management background, is reflected as I share detail in my teaching. I resonate with and have tools for those who encounter daily stressors from the workplace and life in general.
Kundalini Yoga class incorporates yogic breathing (or pranayama), a specific series of asanas (called a kriya) and mantra or silent meditation. Kriyas in Kundalini Yoga are numerous and vary in length, ease/difficulty and the physical and or energetic effect(s). The idea is to do what you can, learn, practice and over time, as the subtle nuances become more and more clear, transformation results.
For many there are misconceptions regarding what Kundalini Yoga is and isn’t. I came to my first class with no preconception and found physical exercise creating an uplifting experience. No matter how I felt before class, I left feeling brighter than when I came in. I became a teacher to share the path to this experience with others.
