- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$30 per half hour, regardless of whether I travel to the student or the student travels to me. I travel up to 20 miles to students. $60 per hour lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically spend a portion of the first lesson both getting to know each other and what the student's overall goals are in taking lessons. If the student is new to the instrument, we will then spend some time on some finger exercises and basics of music reading/notation and possibly some beginning chords. For more experienced students, material tends to be tailored to their specific goals and musical tastes-- anything from learning and applying scales, to learning songs, more advanced chords and soloing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelor of Music degree from Western Illinois University.
