FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You have found me here, and you want to practice yoga. Send me an email with any question you have -- any! We will begin a dialogue here, on Thumbtack, and then we can continue that dialogue face-to-face in a preliminary session that lasts about an hour. In this session, I will do my best to respond to all of your questions, we will create a goal together, and we may even learn the first principles of breath, if time permits. From there, we will craft a schedule that works for both of us.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified instructor, and I have also team-taught two 200-hour training programs, the teachers of which now staff four studios. I've studied under some of the greatest Ashtanga instructors available today -- you can Google Kino McGregor, Maty Ezraty, and Matthew Darling if you want to know about Ashtanga or them personally. And I continue my daily practice and my informal education on my own. My next step will be to enroll in a 500-hour training program, which I hope to complete within the next few years.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was actually invited into this kind of work; I didn't originally pursue it. I was taking classes at a yoga studio and I began having daily conversations with the other students and teachers. One thing led to another, and within a few months, I was instructing. Never looked back. I truly enjoy helping someone tune into what's happening deep within her or his body; this process is magical and healing, and I believe it can change the world.
