Introduction: I am a former Division I and Division III college tennis coach at the US Air Force Academy, Springfield College, and Colorado College. With over 10 years of experience in teaching all levels of tennis abilities, I have a master's degree in advanced level coaching with an emphasis in sport psychology. Although I teach all ages and levels, I am uniquely equipped to help junior tennis players reach their goals of playing college tennis. I am very positive and enthusiastic and make learning tennis fun! Regardless of your current level of play, I can raise your game.
Tennis coaching and the mental aspect of the game have always been fascinating for me. I really enjoy teaching new skills and seeing my clients benefit from our training both on and off the court. I love sharing my passion for the sport and seeing my clients improve and reach their goals.

Coach Wright was the assistant coach for our women's tennis team. He was the one who brought smiles to the court and allowed us to open up and laugh when it seemed like practice or our match couldn't get any worse. Coach Wright was the person who taught me to love the game of tennis. He could see how badly I wanted to win and how afraid I was not to win. He turned this energy into a positive thing which allowed me to relax and use my passion and drive to help me succeed. Coach Wright believed in me when others didn't. All he wanted was for our team to love tennis as much as he did and to have fun and be thankful for these opportunities. When he put it all into perspective, it was hard not to enjoys it and be thankful for everything. What I will always remember about having Coach Wright as my coach is that he was always in your corner, smiling when you came running to the bench, and picking your spirits up to let you know you can accomplish anything.

In my time as a tennis player at Springfield College, I was able to be come a far better tennis player and student because of what I learned from Perry Wright. He was my coach for two years there and I still use lessons I learned from him in practice in my work setting today. It was clear to myself and all my teammates that Perry showed up everyday to practice prepared and motivated to help us become better athletes.

I had the pleasure of playing college tennis under the tutelage of Perry - his coaching and leadership made for some memorable seasons with the Springfield College team. As a coach and mentor, Perry was always passionate and dedicated toward the growth and improvement of our program and it always pushed his players to reach for the next level of their potential. I personally thank Coach Wright for the impact he made on my own tennis game, and for helping me from a low level of tennis experience become a better athlete and now a lifelong player and student of the game.
