- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After a potential client reaches out to me with a request, I will check and confirm my availability. I will collect all necessary information including number of pets, breed/age, your location, how many visits per day or are you requesting overnight pet sitting in your home, etc. Once all information is gathered, we can set up a time for a Meet & Greet which is where I will travel to your home to meet your fur babies in the setting where they are most comfortable. During the Meet & Greet, I will interact with your animals and ensure that they will be comfortable with having me enter the home alone. We will go over their normal schedule, food & bed time routines, if they require any special care or medications, etc. At the end of the Meet & Greet, I will request a set of keys and be in touch with you as the stay approaches.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed extensive animal training to ensure the utmost knowledge in the pet sitting & animal care field. I am enrolled and studying Animal Physical Therapy. I'm a Certified Pet Sitter and Pet Nutritionist who has completed CPR & First Aid courses.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Even at a young age, I knew that I had a passion for caring and working with animals. I had no knowledge of the animal & pet care field but having passion was the first step. We adopted our family dog, Cowboy, when he was a puppy and we grew up together. He was 13 years old when he passed away back in 2015. After having a companion by my side for the majority of my life, it made me realize how much I loved animals and ignited that fire to learn and grow. Since that time, I have taken numerous steps in advancing my knowledge and experience. I have successfully completed a variety of certification training programs and I am now a Certified Pet Sitter, Pet Nutritionist, Vet Tech Assistant, and CPR & First Aid Certified. I am now looking into more learning opportunities to ensure that I have superior knowledge & can provide your family and loved fur babies with the ultimate care.
