FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
You can pay for a single lesson or you can sign up for a month of lessons. There are no hidden fees. If you get a hold of me I'm sure we can set up something which works for your schedule!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Well, the first thing to know is that I am flexible, so I can accommodate how you want to have the lessons go. That being said, I have a way that I think the lessons should go to maximize efficiency. The first lesson consists of you communicating your goals to me while I communicate the maximum amount of technical and musical knowledge possible. I can assign as much or as few assignments as you want. I would rather assign you more activities and not have you get them all done than assign you to few activities and be bored.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Masters in Teaching though WWU after auditioning and was offered scholarships for symphonic performance. The masters degree took over three years with a 4 month internship, over a dozen observations, many workshops and seminars. I received my Bachelors in performance through Cornish College, Bellevue College and EDCC. I worked on my Undergrad for 5 years and studied under many great teachers. I received a full scholarship from Hal Sherman (one of the most famous jazz educators) at Bellevue College. I studied privately for many years with accomplished piano teachers, guitar teachers, voice teachers and bass teachers. Music is a life long pursuit! I also attended the ASCAP songwriting festival and workshops in Los Angeles. I have been mentored by many successful musicians as well. Working and studying with people from the Seattle Symphony has been very beneficial for my musical development. I learned the most from my friends, family and the great musicians I have been fortunate enough to play and spend time with!
