Jeff's ability to play guitar is easily verified by putting his name in a Google or You Tube search. You can also see/hear for yourself by enjoying an evening with the best 70's Band in Colorado (MM8TR) or by catching one of his Classical Guitar recitals.
The fact that Jeff is a renowned musician is undeniable but not that important if you want to learn guitar. What is important is his STRONG capability to teach and lead you down a learning path catered to your goals.
I have had lessons from countless instructors and the problem I always found is they are great players but not so great at teaching.
Jeff was able take the piece meal knowledge I had and fill in the blank spots while guiding me towards musical literacy. Ultimately we exceeded my goals and I started performing in front of large audiences on a regular basis.
