My daughter had the pleasure of being coached by Scott Smashey from 2010 to late 2012. From that time he took her from ZAT, Champs, to Supers here in the state of Texas in 9 months. This is unheard of here in my state. Children have to go through a three tiered system to advance to the highest level known as SuperChamps.
My daughter could not have done this without the aid of Scott. She worked hard daily for him and he was very patient and helpful in assisting her to achieve her goal of becoming a "Super".
Now telescope ahead six years from beginning our relationship with Scott. He and I talk almost weekly as we have developed a long term relationship based on my daughters tennis. I consider him a friend first, a dedicated coach second. If I lived in the Fort Lauderdale area my daughter would still be seeing him daily.
If you want to take your child to a coach that genuinely cares about their athlete then Scott is your best choice in Florida.
