FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It is difficult to give a standard quote. That being said I do have starting prices. Murals start at 15 dollars a square foot. That price will change for a couple of different reasons. One is how much detail is requested and two what type of wall the mural is going to be on. A highly textured wall will be more difficult than a smooth wall. A curved wall will be more difficult as well. Also the material the wall is made out of. Is it a cement wall, drywall, or other. There are many different reasons a price is subject to change. Although it will not change once the project is started, unless changes to what is agreed on is changed by the client. There is a deposit fee, and a fee for three or more sketches. Most of the details are worked out during the first consultation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process for working with a customer depends on the project. If it is a custom painting then it is gathering the information on what they expect. Obtaining very detailed ideas on what they would like done, colors of the room in which the painting would be placed and the size of the space. If the person lives close then a possible meeting at the location to get an idea of style and space. If it is going to be shipped then a picture of the are would be required. Then i would draw up a few sketches. Once a sketch is meeting the ideas of the client. Then the painting process would begin. Pictures would be sent about halfway through the painting to ensure the happiness of the client. The process for a mural is similar, the difference is it is in the home of the client. Sketches would be drawn up and the client would be walked through every step of the painting process to ensure total happiness.
