FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system for lessons is $25 per 30-minute lessons, $30 per 45 minute lessons and $40 for an hour (60 minutes) lesson. For fees, I charge an additional $5 for traveling 10 miles or more. For discounts, for paying for 5 sessions in advance it is 5% off, for 10 sessions it is 10% and for 20 sessions it is 15% off.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new student is to first understand what they know and what they are hoping to accomplish. I then go over the basics even if they are more advanced to review the fundamentals of the guitar. Then I give them easy pieces to start them off and challenging ones to push them to develop their skills. I teach them musical concepts, chords, scales etc. so they can learn different approaches, develop their style of playing and become a more creative and confident guitar player.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing guitar and taking lessons for 10+ years now and have taken lessons with a number of different guitar teachers so I understand how they teach different levels of students as well as different styles. I studied Performance at Berklee College of Music and have an Associate's Degree in Audio Production from Lyndon State College.
