FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$40 per hour is my starting rate. However, if it's a larger project, it makes a lot more sense to come up with a package so we can focus on the music and not the time. More often than not, I come up with a flat rate that makes sense for everyone. Example: if it's a full band, the price is usually around $300 per song when it's a full album. If the artist is not a band and needs full instrumentation created, then it might be more like $500 per song. This would be for the production, recording, mixing, and mastering... of course. :)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to sit and talk about the project and the goals for the product. I feel communication is very important, and that starting off on the right foot is essential for a good product.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Honestly, I would have your refer to my website for this one. I'm "self-taught", but I have a ton of experience. Additionally, I've had some super-awesome mentors at various studios I've worked at. I started by recording myself about 15 years ago.
