Introduction: I have a Masters Degree in Music and Opera Theatre and many years of successful teaching experience at all ages and levels, beginner to professional. My teaching experience as a choir conductor, vocal insturctor, and stage director includes public schools and the college level. I supervised international vocal recordings for Walt Disney Studios for over 10 years. I am familiar with Broadway literature as well as opera, art songs, and the American Songbook. I coach many auditions, am an excellent technician, and can accompany singers from the piano during lessons. I emphasize healthy, safe production that favors the traditional Broadway repertoire. I have an extensive music library. I enjoy working with novices and helping them to develop their potential as well as working with advanced singers to perfect more sophisticated literature.

Micheal is my first vocal coach and I’m so glad I went to the right person! He’s very patient and he cares about his students success. I have no vocal training background but he managed to teach me the songs I need for audition. I gained confidence and knowledge just within two lessons. I will continue to take his lesson in the future.

Michael is a wonderful teacher! I've been working with him for almost 2 years now and my singing ability has gone from practically zero to something I'm happy and proud of. Michael was our son's vocal coach throughout high school and is now instructing our daughter. Our son made so much progress he is now a tenor in the vocal performance program at Chapman University and is singing in operas, the selective small choir and in fundraisers for the school. Michael knows how to pull the best from each of his students and push them beyond what they think they can accomplish. He is a consummate professional and has a beautiful studio in his home. He is dedicated to his students and will help them achieve their goals in any way he can. We are extremely grateful to him and cannot recommend him highly enough.
