Jim is an excellent teacher of guitar-particularly for me being of mature age 50+ when I first started taking lessons with Jim. His costs were better than customary rates and he was able to zero in on what I expected to learn but , more important, what I am interested in learning. I am not one for reading music and Jim made the exercises fun , easy and relevant. It has now been about a year and my playing is at a point that I can get together with others to play music and keep up with them. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jim to anyone 10 and older...think what he can do for and with a young talent!!!!

I took guitar lessons from Jim and would highly recommend him as a teacher.
Jim is a skilled musician who can assess the needs of a student and tailor his teaching to fit those needs. Jim's patience provided me with the relaxed atmosphere that I needed to understand new material and feel relaxed playing it.
Jim's focus is to make learning music fun. For me if it isn't enjoyable then why do it? Whether it's basic chords or a Neil Young rocker the focus is to enjoy the experience.
