FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Nearly every job is different because every client's situation and wants are unique. My rate is $140 for a service visit of one hour. After that time, the rate is $120 per hour. Supplies or materials may be extra, usually less than a dollar per piece. Please call, text, or email if you would like to discuss an estimate. I will ask for details of what you want installed and where, and I may ask for photos of some items and/or the locations in which they'll be hung. The more information I have, the more likely I can give you a quote or a very close estimate. Most of my quotes and estimates are done over the phone, texts, or emails, but if you would like me to instead come to your home or business for an in-person quote, estimate, or consultation, there will be a charge of $140 for this visit of up to one hour, payable at the time of the visit. If you decide to hire me for the installation within a month of the consultation, half of this fee will be credited toward the installation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
About two-thirds of my business is with repeat and referral clients, but for prospective clients who don't know about me I am happy to discuss anything you'd like over the phone, text, or email, regarding your specific needs. I want you to feel 100% confident before I even set foot inside your home or place of business.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My initial training was from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. I now have over 25 years' experience working in Westside and South Bay homes and offices, most proudly in the field of art and decor installation. While formal education is probably not one of the first things you'd look for in an installer as you might with a doctor or CPA, I did minor in art before ultimately earning a bachelor's degree in business from Pepperdine University. My education, years working at a major art museum, and experience in thousands of homes and businesses hanging an estimated 25,000 items ensures that the installation of your art and decor will be the best it can possibly be.
