- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the client or their realtor has contacted our office, we gather some preliminary information and schedule the inspection. Fortunately, we have several inspectors in our office, so we are able to accommodate most clients' requests within a relatively short time frame. We meet all the concerned parties at the time of the scheduled appointment and then carefully evaluate all the pertinent aspects of the home. That includes evaluating the electrical service, the roofing and flashing, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, exterior features, doors and windows, attics, decks, garages, basement conditions and the home's overall safety and several other criteria. Either during or after the inspection is complete, we discuss out findings with our client - usually the potential buyer of the property - then we write a complete report and email it to them within 24 hours. In most cases, they will have a copy of our report the day of the inspection.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our inspectors have either decades of experience in the construction trades or have been certified by an American Society of Home Inspectors' accredited certification course. Our combined experience and training provides us a huge advantage over our contemporaries because there is always someone in the office with first hand knowledge of any perplexing situations discovered on a home inspection.
