On December 2, 2016, I signed a contract with Viliami Sili Ahau for a backyard project which included the following work: Removal of previous tree line and foliage, construction of a cinder block wall on top of a previous rock wall, and leveling of the slope with soil and grass sod placement. The total price for the project was agreed upon, and as outlined on the contract, 1/3 would be paid as an initial deposit,1/3 would be paid halfway through project completion, and the remaining 1/3 would be paid at the completion of the project. Instead, Sili Ahau demanded those payments nearly every 5-7 days for "labor costs." The entirety of the project was paid for in a span of 24 days, though the project was not even halfway completed. It has now been over 4 months, and Sili has abandoned the project completely. My backyard is in complete shambles, and the lawn and plants have been dying from lack of care and maintenance. There are large boulders and cinder blocks randomly dispersed throughout my yard, with heavy machinery around (see attached pictures). The yard has been off-limits to my family due to these perilous conditions. He has not shown up for weeks, and responds to neither text messages or phone calls. I have requested a second opinion from a fellow stone mason, who knows of Sili, and was informed this is not the first time Sili has done this. He has robbed previous customers, demanding payment upfront, and then abandoning the project halfway. Earlier, when Sili was still communicative, he cited numerous reasons as to why the project was been delayed, most of them personal (e.g. argument with his wife), and none of which was relevant to me or the work that was owed me. I entrusted him to contract a large project for my home, paid him in earnest, and in return, he essentially abandoned the job altogether, with no clear intention to complete it. His behaviors appear to be nothing less than criminal. I would advise anyone looking for any contractual work to steer clear of Viliamu Sili Ahau. He is a thief with no conscience or sense of morals, and he sullies the reputation of his community and fellow workers in the industry.

I do pricing every project according how hard and condition of the job. My pricing will change when we agree for the right price for the right job.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we talking about the price of the job. If we both agree I will write a proposal for all work is need and the total price. Provide payment in 3 different ways. we both sign before the job begin.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was graduate from TUPOU College 12 grade. I do apprentice for masson Union Local 1 in Hawaii.
