Introduction: BIO: I've been playing guitar for the past 9 years and have loved every day of it. Music has given me the opportunity to express myself through music. I moved to Jacksonville 3 years ago from Tallahassee to finish school at the University of North Florida.
TEACHING STYLE: When teaching a new student I am very patient because I know it can be frustrating in the beginning but the reward after learning to play your first song is well worth it. The lessons are structured around what the student wants to learn and which genre of music they listen to the most. I also provide tricks to learning certain songs making it a fun learning environment and helps the student remember how to play the song.
MUSICAL INFLUENCES: B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, Jack Johnson, John Frusciante, Albert King, John Mayer, Jimmy Page, Gary Clark Jr, Stevie Ray Vaughn
EXPERIENCE: Started playing my junior year in high school and haven't stopped since then. I have played numerous open mic nights and have started to book gigs with my newly formed band. I have taught friends and family lessons over the years and enjoyed teaching and seeing their reactions to playing guitar.
Witnessing the joys music can bring to people and their reactions the first time they're able to play their first song. Teaching music has always been more about giving the student an experience they can share with their friends and family for years to come. Music is what can bring a family together on the holidays. Given the opportunity to teach a student this ability is the reason why I teach and play music.
