Patricia Flores Counseling
About this pro
With a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, training in plant-based nutrition, and currently pursuing a 200-hr yoga teacher certification, I have a broad range of training and experience allowing me to create customized Wellness plans for each client. I completed my internships in Career Counseling and at a domestic violence shelter, giving me insight into varying types of therapy and tools to help people achieve their goals. Also I am an Army veteran and have an understanding of military culture, and I speak Spanish allowing some clients to communicate to me in their native language. Having the honor of hearing someone's story and then being able to positively impact their life forever, that's powerful.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I practice authenticity and allow for transparency in my relationships with my clients. The most healing aspect of therapy is the quality of the counseling relationship, and I don't put on any masks when meeting with people. By being honest and real with my clients, trust develops and we are able to go deeper into underlying issues causing problems.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?M.S. Clinical Mental Health Counseling, The University of North Florida Certificate in Plant Based Nutrition, Cornell University
