My name is Holly Ann Shaw and I bring a unique blend of skills to home staging and re-design. In home staging, that story is told through furniture placement, décor and emotional connection points that help buyers see themselves living in the sellers’ house. I help people reach their goals. Whether through home staging, re-design, personal shopping or organizational services, I get to help people re-imagine their lives and take productive steps to make those dreams a reality. In the past year, houses that I’ve staged below a listing price of $350,000, have received offers in less than five days. While there is no such thing as a guarantee when it comes to selling a home, my experience has taught me that staging is a vital piece of a successful sales strategy.

    Holly has staged several houses for me from a 800 sq ft homes to 4000 sq ft homes. She does an amazing job, has her own inventory and is reasonably priced! Her staging abilities have boosted my sales rate exponentially! I won't list a house without her services!


What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process includes a consultation in the home. I visit the home, looking at the property as a prospective buyer. I assess the houses' strengths and look for ways to improve it. After the consultation, I will send a detailed, written report outlining the things that need to be enhanced to make your house look its best in listing photos and showings. I can also stage the home. This service includes rearranging furniture and décor so that it is more appealing to a broad audience. For a rental fee, I can supplement your décor with accessories and furniture.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Collaborate with your agent. They are your advocate and provide a wealth of information. If you agree that a home stager should join the team, then find one that understands marketing, has the credentials to do the job and will provide a detailed plan to make your house look its best.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The top three questions for sellers or realtors looking to engage a home stager are: 1) What are your credentials? Home stagers can get started from a variety of places. Their backgrounds vary greatly; they can have degrees in interior design/decorating all the way to just a passion and drive to do the job. However, there are professional associations that offer certifications in home stager. These certifications means that the stager has the training to help you reach your goals to appeal to a wide array of buyers and sell fast. 2) Do you offer detailed consultation reports or will you just walk through the property and give verbal instructions? Getting a home ready to sell brings an overwhelming list of things to do. I recommend hiring a home stager who will assess your home and provide a written, detailed report with photographs that you can use later. 3) Can I rent décor and furniture from you or do I need to buy everything? Home stagers who bring in supplemental furniture and décor offer a real advantage. They keep up on décor trends and can rent the items to you at a fraction of the cost of buying them.
