FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have have a "standardized pricing" but each project is different so I tend to try and work within each artist's budget.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a musician for a majority of my life starting back in my early teens. I started writing songs as soon as I could make noise on any of my instruments and I wanted to be able to capture the sounds I was making so I naturally gravitated towards audio engineering. I started off with a cassette 4 track recorder and messed around with that for many years recording as much music as I could. When digital recording became more feasible in the early 2000's I started working with that. I have spent countless hours learning by trial and error and spending as much of my life as possible practicing the art of recording and mixing. I continue to try and learn as much as I can on a daily basis to make myself better and better at capturing audio and producing it so that it is pleasing and catchy to the ear.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As long as I can remember, my favorite thing to do was to push "Record" and "Play" at the same time on a boom box cassette recorder and record whatever was going on around me. I was fascinated with sound and the albums that my dad would play when I was a kid and I always knew that it was in my blood to capture audio to a media so that it could be shared with as many people as I could make it available to. My love for that has not changed and it is still my favorite thing to do.
