FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I only give a discount to homeschoolers. However, I encourage families to seek help from the Children's Music Foundation if they have a severe need.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet them and their families and provide a meet and greet to see if the younger children are entering lessons at the appropriate age. If students already have had lessons i like to investigate where they are on their musical journey and what books are appropriate for them to study. With vocal students i like to explore their favorite style of music and test their range and vocal ability.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, a Master's degree in Vocal Performance and a C.A.S. in Vocal Performance. I have played piano in numerous recitals and professionally, dinner theatres, churches. I have taught music theory as well as childrens operas and directed large music camps. Bonding families together through music is my tagline! Teaching voice at the university level is a part of my exerience. Teaching young children and relating to seniors in the nursing homes is as well!
