Introduction: I grew up between Paris and Milan, and attended school in french my entire life until I went to university (USC) where I currently study communication & digital innovation. My mother being american, I was brought up speaking english with her and french with my father, friends, & teachers. In the meantime, living in Milan but still being in the French International School there, I was able to learn Italian fluently. Today I speak and write French, Italian and English.
Language has been a big part of my upbringing and I feel extremely lucky to have been able to live around the world to learn all the languages I speak. For this reason, I love sharing this gift and helping individuals cross the language barriers.

Alex went above and beyond to help me succeed in my French class. I didn't know how to put together sentences before him, let alone speak with the proper accent. He was so patient with me and made me a better French writer. I stepped away from a super American accent to a far more French one. He did this through several different pronunciation exercises and even communicated with me in full French at the end of our lessons and would challenge me to try to speak full French back. I felt like I was living in Paris! He is so sweet and even provided me with insights about being a true parisienne for when I study abroad there or work there in the future. Learning French is my passion, and he made that passion come alive. I am truly so grateful to him, and now we have hour long phone calls once a week in French to ensure that I don't lose what I have learned from him. He is detail oriented, as well as an exceptional teacher, and even more interesting person. He has lived all around the world, and always has fascinating stories to tell! I would 100000% recommend him as a tutor. You will not be disappointed!

I hired Alex to be my tutor for my French class. He was extremely helpful and diligent. Alex is a smart young man who is great at communicating and thus was ideal as a tutor for a language.

Alex tutored me in french back in junior year of high school. I spoke rather well but had trouble with understanding when to use which verb tense, a trouble in which Alex knew the good tricks in learning that he mastered from having grown up in friend. Would definitively recommend for anyone struggling in French courses!

Alex is definitely one of the best tutors I've had for French. He is patient and thorough with explaining confusing concepts. He made learning French a lot easier to understand and definitely more fun and pleasant overall. I would recommend Alex to anyone aiming to understand and speak French as if it were their mother tongue. Merci Alex you are the best!

I was panicking before taking my first exam for French 2, luckily a friend recommended me Alex Oubari and it was the best tutoring decision I have taken. He is a very approachable tutor that makes French seem easy through his conversational immersion (one part of my test consisted on an oral French examination). Not only did I get an A in the test, but I was able to learn conversational colloquial french phrases that are not taught in the regular classroom. The phrases served me well in my trip to Paris during the christmas break. Merci, Alex!
