Introduction: I have over 20 years experience teaching children to play the piano and truly love and appreciate music. I hold degrees from The University of Southern California and Indiana University where I studied film composition and music theory. I currently run summer camps and programs for children all year round and dedicate my evenings to teaching piano. I teach everything from Beethoven to Bernstein, Jazz, Blues, Film Scores, and Rock & Roll. " Where words fail, music speaks."
Nothing compares to the confidence and achievement a child displays after hours of practice only to successfully complete and master a piece of music. Parents also love it! Working with kids for over twenty years has given me tremendous joy. Little in life can compare to the purity of music and children.

Michael is extremely good with children. He has the patience and understanding to teach kids at their level. He taught my son piano for 3 years before we moved to New York. My son still continues playing today because of the love of music Michael instilled in him.

I have to say that I was a little skeptical of using Thumbtack, but I had and am still having a wonderful experience. Michael is so sweet and great! He takes his time with my daughter and even stays after the lesson is over to go over her habits and where she needs to focus. I highly recommend Michael as a piano teacher. He will make your kids have a profound appreciation for music!
