FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Sellers pay the Real Estate agent's broker for the services of their agent. My broker is Amy Tapp Realty. The amount is normally 6% of the total home sale price. That 6% is divided in half between the broker for the seller and the broker of the buyer. For example, if you selected me as your agent to sell your house, you would pay my broker 6% of the sale price of the home. For example, if your home sold for $100,000, you would pay my broker $6,000. My broker would pay half of that to the broker of the agent who worked with the buyer of your home. The brokers for each agent would then pay their agents a percentage of the 3% that they received.
