Mutt School is the premiere dog training facility with the most certified & highly educated trainers in the area. I recommend them to all dog owners whether you're just looking for a well mannered family pet or want to build the foundations of a competitive sports dog team.

I enrolled my 6 month old grand dog in MuttsSchool because of their all positive, and use of clickers training methods. They were accommodating to my needs as far as travel and availability was concerned. Admittedly, this sweet boy was a wild child, so he needed extra time and attention with his training. At the end of the 3 weeks of his training, he was definitely a much calmer and more disciplined dog who responded to his commands well during the end of the session training period with his owners.
When I first interviewed the school about their training program, I was told that clicker training was used exclusively, which is exactly what I wanted. However, upon picking up our dog, I found out that the clicker was used only by one, possibly two of the trainers, but that the trainer who worked with him the most did not use a clicker in his training sessions. This trainer's method was strictly positive, but the lack of consistency in using the clicker throughout the dog's training was disappointing and detrimental for the overall training of the dog. It was obvious that the dog understood the concept of the clicker, but the carry over to those of us who continue to be around the dog was lacking.
Also we came home with a very sick dog, who had picked up a nasty virus. I know the kennels were diligent in keeping their kennels clean and that just like with children, viruses can and do happen in even the cleanest of areas. But it was also disappointing that the dog was so sick and required yet more expensive veterinary care.
Would I recommend MuttsSchool to others? Yes, I would, but I would caution the school about touting that clickers were exclusively used throughout the training sessions when they were not. This dog was young and loaded with energy and he was definitely a much improved companion after his 3 week session attending MuttsSchool.
