FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer 1 lesson per week, unless the student prefers to take longer lessons, in which case, I am flexible in making accommodations. My main goal is to make sure that I am getting my point of the lesson across to the student before I leave them for the week, making sure they understand how to execute the material from the lesson properly, in order to gain steady and consistent improvement.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I Studied in Southern California at Concordia University. I was offered a music scholarship to partake in the Wind Orchestra, the contemporary music programs, as well as the percussion ensemble and jazz combo. While attending, I studied with two professionals, Bill Schlit of the L.A. Phil Harmonic, and Mark Converse, a free lance musician from the L.A. area. Working with these two amazing instructors, I honed my craft and love for both classical percussion and drum set playing alike. Also while attending Concordia, I formed a rock band known as Hestyn. While in this group, we won Orange County's Battle of the Bands two years in a row, and played on the Vans Warped Tour, it was an amazing experience!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been involved in music since I was 8 years old, it's always been apart of who I am. I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
