FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find out what they are looking to learn and their goals. I then talk with them to come up with my own ideas and have them share their own thoughts so we can make a decision together on how to move forward. If the student is in a school or group orchestra I will go to them to see if they have any suggestions and the current repertoire they are working on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing cello for over 20 years and have been taught by cellists in the Phoenix Symphony, Tucson Symphony. I have played in auditioned orchestras and with various bands as well as in church choirs. I have led small group ensembles and taught privately with the University of Arizona String Project. I have also been playing jazz and have studied jazz styles for over five years. I enjoy the added freedom of expression when playing jazz which sometimes structrued classical playing is lacking in.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had been playing cello for a long time and people started asking me for lessons.
