FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer 45-minute ($40) and 1-hour lessons ($50). Tuition usually is paid by semester: Fall Semester (August-December), Spring Semester (January-May), and Summer Session (June-July). Tuition includes the following: - Private Lessons with an individualized plan per student - one 2-hour group lesson per semester including all materials and snacks - Teacher pre-lesson preparation and continue education/training - Professional organization dues which provide students with opportunities for competitions, exams, and festivals - Awards/Stickers/Prizes - In-studio recitals and recital workshops - Studio expenses such as piano maintenance, printing, and library (Adult students may follow a pay-per-lesson tuition plan.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know new students in a mini trial lesson. This way students get to know how I teach and I can get a glimpse at the student's learning styles and goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from NAU with a BA in music. I am continuing my education through Mesa Community College because it is important for me to continue growing as a teacher. I am active in the East Valley Music Teachers Association and I frequently attend master classes, workshops, and conferences.
