Introduction: Having been a collegiate Division 1 Track athlete and current 2020 Olympic hopeful, I know what it takes to succeed at a high level. Along with my hands on athlete expertise, I also graduated the University of Miami with a degree in Exercise Physiology and a Minor in Sports Medicine. The combination of my athletic exposure and college education is unbeatable. Exercise, fitness, and peak performance is my passion and has been my life for over 5 years. Knowing that I can give you the tools to make a positive change in your life. Whether its increasing or decreasing the number on the scale, building a strong, functional training base, or giving someone the confidence to be themselves, I love every aspect about being a trainer.

At age 15, I was 5'8'', 185 lbs and diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Because of my desire to stay as healthy as possible, I have been working out on and off for the last 25 years. During my best years, I have worked out 3-4 times a week doing some kind of cardio and weight training. My worst years I would go for months without even stepping a foot in the gym. I have worked out with personal trainers, I've done group classes including kajukenbo, yoga and kick boxing. I've done crossfit, orange theory, soul cycle and flywheel. I even spent several years making my own workout plans by reading books and watching YouTube channels. By the time I got to LB, I had many experiences with personal trainers and fitness coaches. When I first met LB, my posture was horrible, my hips were tight, my back was stiff and I could not properly and safely do squats which really limited my lower body and over all strength. This had to do with many years of sitting for long stretches of time, and when I wasn't doing that, I was hunched over a screen. Unlike with my other personal training experiences, LB assessed my total fitness capacity. He did not just give me a regurgitated workout plan every week, but he personalized it to include my goals plus what he thought I needed. He also explains everything he is doing and why he is specifically targeting certain areas of your body. The biggest benefit I have found is that with LB, I am much more aware of my body. The more we have worked out, the more I have been able to focus on engaging my muscles in a mindful and purposeful way. My posture has improved greatly. I am now mostly always aware of standing tall and strong. My squats have definitely gotten better. The biggest surprise with that is that I don't absolutely hate doing squats anymore. I kind of look forward to them to see what I can do. I've learned all kinds of stretches to help myself out during the day so that I keep myself as supple as possible, and our new goal is a pull up! That's the best part of working out with LB, he makes sure you are always heading towards specific and clear goals so you can track your progress. I would and have recommended LB to anyone who is serious about caring for their bodies, being strong, being flexible and being an all around bad ass. It doesn't hurt either that LB is a super nice guy. I have not suffered any injuries over the years, but If I did, I know LB, through his experience and education, would be able to help me function and the best level that I could. If you want to get strong, healthy, flexible and solid, LB's your man.

I am so glad I found out about Rinaldi Performance. In three months of working out with LB and being supported and encouraged by Melanie, I have gone from brushing my teeth with my eyes closed when standing in front of the bathroom sink and mirror, to keeping my eyes open. I move with confidence, and with more grace and strength than I've felt in years. The workouts are varied, which is great for me, and they work muscles I didn't even know I had. Most of all, the energy, professionalism and experience that Rinaldi Performance offers is incredibly motivating - I find that I really enjoy pushing myself to do my best. The thoughtfulness of the workout plans that LB creates for me is key - I find that sometimes I surprise myself and am even stronger than I thought I was. What a terrific place!

In the nearly three months I've been training with LB, I've become noticeably stronger - and I feel fantastic. The best part is the workouts he creates - they're fun and varied, and he pushes me to believe I can go further. Best training experience I've had - can't wait to see how I feel after another three months working with LB!

I've worked with trainers of all calibers from across the globe since 2004. I starting training with Bert about three years ago, and he is by far best. Not only is he a kind and great person, he is motivating and will push you to get you where to need to. He is extremely knowledgable when it comes to health and the body and I recommend him for any level of training you might be seeking.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First we discuss current lifestyle and conduct a interview with the client. Topics such as career, nutrition, sleep, fitness, and stress are covered. We set up client goals, short term and long term, so we can set a clear path to achieve those goals. Then a movement assessment is performed to give information to our trainers. This shows us how the client moves and if there is any pain, discomfort or difficulty with a movement. The trainer now has the information to create a well rounded, personalized fitness system for the client.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Rinaldi Performance has worked with Olympians and professional chefs, to CEO's and psychologists, and everyone in between. We don't have a 1 size fits all approach. Whoever you are, whatever the goal, we can help you achieve it.
