Introduction: Increase Your Music Skills Online During the COVID-19 Pandemic
I specialize in classical, acoustic (steel-string), fingerstyle, and electric guitar.
• During lessons, we focus on notation, sight reading, rhythm, understanding of music, and on ways to improve playing.
• I typically start incoming students on the classical guitar, then move them to a steel-string guitar, and then eventually on to the electric guitar.
• I work between many musical genres, including classical and fingerstyle.
• Each lesson is crafted per individual student, and with my flexibility, we can find ways to pursue the student's interest, while also making sure that they are challenged and learning new skills.
• The lessons are one-on-one between the student and teacher.
• The lessons are “face-to-face”. If needed, online is available by student request.
• I teach students from 6+ years old.
• I also specialize and offer band sessions, for those who wish to play in groups.
• I am of Ukrainian decent and therefore am able to teach both Ukrainian and Russian speaking students.
• I am centered in South Milwaukee, and therefore I'm able to travel and teach in Muskego, Franklin, Oak Creek, New Berlin, Wind Lake, Brookfield, Menomonee Falls, Mequon, White Fish Bay. The other nearby areas can get the online lessons.
• Students of Milwaukee area can come to my studio "BeSound" the address is: 2407 NORTH MARYLAND AVENUE MILWAUKEE, WI, 53211
• The lessons schedule can be altered at any time. I am very flexible with my hours and available almost any time throughout the week. Student should contact me directly (by text message)
• Twice a year, once in winter, and once in spring, I hold a recital for my students and their friends and families. Students have the opportunity to perform the music that they studied that season.
• Every February, my students have the opportunity to play at the Federation at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as part of the Student Festival. Students with superior levels of playing can qualify to win trophies and awards.
Lesson Policy
• Establishing clear guidelines on how the business end of lessons works will enable us to keep the focus where it should be, on having fun while sharing the joy of making music and learning the guitar! It's good for the soul…
• Weekly Classes - Lessons are given on a weekly basis, providing necessary structure and achieving of goals. Consistent attendance is crucial for maintaining a steady learning flow and making progress.
• Monthly Tuition - Monthly tuition is paid on the last week of the month for the upcoming month's scheduled lessons.
• Planned Absences - While weekly attendance is necessary for learning, Im offering online make up lessons with any comfortable days for teacher and student. If for any reason I should miss a scheduled lesson (which is extremely rare) I will offer you another day or time as a make up lesson. (as an option I offer to extend the time of previous and fallowing lessons for example: 30 min + 30 min + 30 min = 45min + 45min)
• Cancellation Policy - Just like signing up for any course or class, you are reserving your specific lesson time and your teachers time for your guitar lesson. All cancellations require 24 hours notice. If a cancellation occurs after lessons are scheduled and tuition is paid, a make up lesson may be offered as a courtesy at the discretion of the teacher for a period up to two months, and will be scheduled in addition to your reserved weekly lesson time. No refunds or credits are given. The calendar is always up to date on the "up to the minute lesson calendar." As in the past, I will continue to be flexible with scheduling. I want my students to get their money's worth, just as I expect to my time to be accounted for.
